Letter From A Perfectionist... Even before my RT-1000SE table arrived, I could tell this was a better "quality built" unit, than any of the other two dozen tables I had been researching for the last six months, just from viewing their web site. I've also seen that you can spend a lot more and get fewer features than this table provides, for it's modest price. At assembly time, I found the instructions did not require any guess work... pretty simple and fast to complete. I found the fit and finish (for the price) to be most excellent, regardless of the slight amount of damage provided by UPS (at no charge). The wood is of good quality and the craftsmen putting these together have done a fine job of not leaving any gaps, everything being tight and generally very good construction through out. Joe could not have been more helpful getting me set up right, if he wanted to. Very pleasurable experience doing business with this company and I look forward to building projects with my new table for many years to come. What is your recommendation with it being on wheels is there a suggestion on how to lock it down when in use? The packaging of the table was superb and the craftsmanship is exquisite. Kevin Hi, I received the table and it is well made and saved me a ton of work since I have the plans and was going to build Norm Abrams table from the New Yankee workshop. Once I saw it I knew that I had to have it. This saved me a lot of work and the cost I paid you was probably less than it would have cost me to build it from scratch. At this point I didn't have time for a "labour of love". I'll save that for the projects that I will do on it. I did poly it since it looks like furniture more than it looks like a tool and I wanted to preserve it. By the way - glad you packed it as well as you did since both your top and bottom "packing material" received severe enough blows that they are cracked. Just a fine piece of craftsmanship, and that is coming from a 30 year tool & die maker. I am positive that this will be handed down for a few generations, at least. My son and grandsons are already drooling over it. I am so glad that I did not settle for one of the "cookie cutter" stands from one of the major manufacturers. Although the pictures are nice, they do not efficiently demonstrate the quality of this machine. The router table is not only attractive, it will provide anyones shop with a tool of precision and durability. This is one impressive addition to my shop, and because of its reasonable price. I know what I will give my family members who woodwork for Christmas in the future. Great product, great price, great service. I have been so busy using it that I have not taken time to write til now. The table is one of the very best investments I have made for my shop. It is packed like the crown jewels and even though UPS busted the outer packaging, the table did not receive a scratch. (As a point of information, I looked up the UPS rates on their website, and their online quoted rate is considerably higher that the amount actually charged by RT-1000. He may get a bulk rate and his rates may be at the cheaper Canadian dollar before converting to $US.) When your table arrives, hopefully you will feel as I do that it was well worth the freight paid. And no, I'm not related to anybody at the factory. Like you, I bought sight unseen. I feel that I got a high quality product at a more than reasonable price, even with the freight factored in.
